If you’re reading this post, you’re probably wondering how the Sole e35 elliptical compares to other models on the market. With so many choices out there I understand how difficult it can be to decide whether to buy the Sole e35 or another elliptical. I have gone out and researched the features of it that set it apart from other ellipticals within the same price range.

How do the features and design compare to other ellipticals? What makes it different?

The Sole e35 comes with a lot of nice features for its price. It has a 25 pound flywheel which provides it with enough weight to keep the machine stable. This way when you’re using it you don’t have to worry about wobbling and you’ll feel constant resistance through each stride. Another nice feature that it comes with is 16 levels of Eddy Current Braking resistance, which is usually only found on higher end models. This system uses electromagnetic current instead of brakes to change the intensity of your workout. It also allows you to easily adjust the incline up to 30 degrees with the press of a button instead of having to use knobs and dials.

There are a couple of other features that it comes with but have received mixed reviews from users. These are the built in speakers for your mp3 player and the cooling fan. Some people like the speakers, but others think they’re useless and gimmicky since the sound quality stinks. The general consensus from users regarding the cooling fan is that it’s pretty useless and that if you want to cool down, you should just buy a separate fan.

Like most elliptical machines out there, they have some sort of feature that allows you to measure your heart rate and the Sole e35 is no different. There are two ways for you to do this. You can use the sensors that are built into the hand bars or the chest strap. The sensors in the hand bars, like the ones on other machines, aren’t all that accurate since when you are moving your hands around it and confuses the sensors, giving inaccurate readings. The chest strap on the other hand is apparently much better and more accurate.

It also comes with a 6.5-inch blue backlit LCD display that shows you your time, distance traveled, number of calories burned, and the current resistance level while you are working out.

How is the build quality?

The Sole e35 is very sturdy but is also quite heavy, weighing 200 pounds. The upside to being this heavy is that it can also support a maximum weight of 375 pounds. Besides having good build quality, it also comes with an excellent warranty. There is a lifetime warranty on the frame, 5 years on parts and electronics, and 2 years on labor. Compared to the warranty offered by other companies which range anywhere from 90 days to a year, this is very good and shows the company has a lot of confidence in the quality of their products.
